Ingredients

  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Edible flowers for decoration (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  6. Divide the dough into portions and add food coloring to each portion as desired.
  7. Roll the colored dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Flatten each ball slightly and use a fork to create a pattern on top.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool before dusting with powdered sugar and decorating with edible flowers if using.
