Description

A warm and comforting quiche combining fresh spinach and tangy feta cheese, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with a bit of olive oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Press the pie crust into the greased dish, ensuring it fits snugly against the edges.
  4. Sauté the fresh spinach in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Spread the sautéed spinach evenly over the pie crust.
  6. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top of the spinach.
  7. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a bowl until combined.
  8. Pour the egg mixture gently over the spinach and feta layers in the pie crust.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  10. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing to serve, giving the flavors a moment to meld together.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Letting the quiche cool enhances the flavors.
