Description

A delicious and easy recipe for creamy cheesy chicken penne made in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks.
  6. Add the penne pasta to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  7. Cover and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
  8. Stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.
  9. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix well before serving.
