- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Spread the pitted cherries on a baking sheet and roast for 15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar, then mix in eggs and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the roasted cherries.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Store brownies in an airtight container for up to a week.
