Description

A classic dessert that combines rice, milk, and sugar to create a creamy and comforting dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 4 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
  • Raisins or nuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pot, combine the rinsed rice, milk, sugar, and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture has thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and cinnamon, if using.
  6. Let the pudding cool slightly before serving. Garnish with raisins or nuts if desired.

Notes
