Description

A savory blend of bacon, cheese, and creamy custard in a flaky pie crust, perfect for brunch or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as Gruyère or Swiss)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped onions or herbs for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Spread the crumbled bacon and shredded cheese evenly over the crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the quiche is set and a golden color.
  7. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a crisp crust, consider blind baking the pie crust for 10 minutes. You can also experiment with different cheeses and vegetables.
