Description

A healthy and delicious banana bread loaf packed with protein, perfect for a nutritious snack or breakfast.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the honey (or maple syrup), applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. If using, fold in the chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
