- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 package (8 oz) of cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup of pistachio pudding mix
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the cake mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 2 eggs until smooth.
- Add the pistachio pudding mix and milk to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well combined.
- Pour the pistachio mixture over the cake layer in the baking pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set but still gooey.
- Let it cool slightly before serving, and top with chopped pistachios.
Notes
- For a stronger pistachio flavor, consider adding more chopped pistachios on top.
- This cake is best served warm or at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
