Description

A deliciously rich and creamy dessert that combines the nutty flavor of pistachios with a gooey butter cake texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) of cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of pistachio pudding mix
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Spread the cake mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 2 eggs until smooth.
  5. Add the pistachio pudding mix and milk to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the pistachio mixture over the cake layer in the baking pan.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set but still gooey.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving, and top with chopped pistachios.

Notes

  • For a stronger pistachio flavor, consider adding more chopped pistachios on top.
  • This cake is best served warm or at room temperature.
