Description

A delightful dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy sauce with tangy pepperoncini, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoncini
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves fresh minced garlic
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • To taste salt
  • To taste pepper


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a splash of olive oil.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the chicken in the skillet for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the pepperoncini, followed by the chicken broth, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the pan.
  7. Bring to a simmer and then reduce heat to low.
  8. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring until combined and thickened.
  9. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it.
  10. Simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  11. Adjust seasoning if necessary, and serve warm over rice or pasta.
