Description

Delightful Oven-Baked Cabbage Burgers featuring seasoned ground beef wrapped in tender cabbage leaves, offering a healthy and satisfying alternative to traditional burgers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head green cabbage
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Cut the head of green cabbage into 1-inch thick slices and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Brush with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Combine the ground beef with the finely chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix thoroughly to ensure an even distribution of flavors.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place a mound of the seasoned ground beef mixture on each cabbage slice, pressing it into a patty shape.
  6. Spread a small amount of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard over each beef patty, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
