- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract and Nutella.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream, mixing until well combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner halfway with the chocolate batter, then add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on top.
- Top with more chocolate batter until the liners are about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add more Nutella to the cream cheese mixture.
- These cupcakes can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Top with whipped cream or additional Nutella for extra indulgence.
