Instructions
- Combine flour, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add water to the dry ingredients.
- Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
- Let it sit at room temperature overnight (12-18 hours).
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat.
- Turn out the dough on a floured surface and shape it gently into a ball.
- Let it rest while the oven heats.
- Transfer the dough to the preheated Dutch oven and cover with the lid.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
For best results, avoid skipping the overnight rise and use a hot Dutch oven.
