A delicious and hearty meatloaf served with a rich mushroom gravy.

- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the mushroom gravy. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens.
- Once the meatloaf is done, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the meatloaf with mushroom gravy on top.
Notes
- For a healthier option, you can use ground turkey instead of beef.
- Feel free to add your favorite herbs and spices to the meatloaf mixture.
- Leftover meatloaf can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
