Description

Delicious and unique sugar cookies infused with matcha and lavender flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons culinary grade matcha powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the matcha powder and dried lavender buds.
  7. Roll the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
