Description
A delicious and tender beef and broccoli dish that your family will love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the beef broth. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add sesame oil or red pepper flakes.
- Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to maintain its crunchiness.
- This dish can be made gluten-free by using tamari instead of soy sauce.
