Description

A delicious and tender beef and broccoli dish that your family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds.
  5. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the beef broth. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add sesame oil or red pepper flakes.
  • Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to maintain its crunchiness.
  • This dish can be made gluten-free by using tamari instead of soy sauce.
