- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup sweet red bean paste
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour and sugar together.
- Add water gradually and stir until smooth.
- If desired, divide the mixture and add food coloring to create pastel shades.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 minute.
- Stir the mixture and microwave for another minute.
- Let it cool slightly, then dust your hands with cornstarch.
- Take a small piece of mochi, flatten it, and place a small amount of sweet red bean paste in the center.
- Wrap the mochi around the filling and shape it into a ball.
- Repeat with the remaining mixture.
