Description

A delightful and cute dessert that combines the chewy texture of mochi with adorable designs.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sweet red bean paste
  • Food coloring (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour and sugar together.
  2. Add water gradually and stir until smooth.
  3. If desired, divide the mixture and add food coloring to create pastel shades.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 minute.
  5. Stir the mixture and microwave for another minute.
  6. Let it cool slightly, then dust your hands with cornstarch.
  7. Take a small piece of mochi, flatten it, and place a small amount of sweet red bean paste in the center.
  8. Wrap the mochi around the filling and shape it into a ball.
  9. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  10. Enjoy your kawaii-inspired mochi!
