Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Stir in the water and cornstarch until the mixture is well blended.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until the apples are soft and slightly caramelized.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the cream.
  7. Whisk the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  8. Spoon the whipped cream over the cooled apple mixture just before serving.
