Description

Learn how to cook brown rice in an Instant Pot for perfectly fluffy grains every time.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 1/4 cups water or broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, water or broth, and salt to the Instant Pot.
  3. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing.
  4. Cook on high pressure for 22 minutes.
  5. Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use broth instead of water.
  • Adjust the cooking time for different types of brown rice.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
