Description

Honey Butter Cornbread Poppers are the delightful treat your gatherings have been missing!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, honey, melted butter, and eggs.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into greased muffin tins, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving with additional honey butter.

Notes

  • For a sweeter popper, increase the sugar to 1/2 cup.
  • These can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven.
  • Serve warm for the best flavor.
