Honey Butter Cornbread Poppers are the delightful treat your gatherings have been missing!
Ingredients

- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, honey, melted butter, and eggs.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into greased muffin tins, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving with additional honey butter.
Notes
- For a sweeter popper, increase the sugar to 1/2 cup.
- These can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven.
- Serve warm for the best flavor.
