Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter in another bowl.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just blended.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick, then cut into bars.
- Fry the bars in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm bars and serve.

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze before glazing for up to 3 months.
