Ingredients

- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Let sit for 5–7 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture.
- Mix and knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough gently.
- Divide into 12 pieces and roll each piece into ropes.
- Tie each rope into knots.
- Place the knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover and rise for another 20–25 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake the knots for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Melt butter in a pan over low heat.
- Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté briefly.
- Stir in parsley.
- Brush the warm knots with the garlic butter mixture.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
