Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or damaged berries.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the cranberries to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- If desired, stir in cinnamon and nutmeg for added flavor.
- Remove from heat and let it cool before serving.
