- 2 cups hash browns
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup prosciutto, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: green onions or herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine hash browns with melted butter in a mixing bowl and press into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish to form a crust.
- Bake the hash brown crust in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
- Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
- Stir in the shredded cheese and chopped prosciutto.
- Pour the egg mixture into the baked hash brown crust.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the quiche is set and slightly golden on top.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve. Garnish with green onions or herbs if desired.
Notes
Use frozen hash browns for convenience. Customize with vegetables for added nutrition.
