Description

A comforting quiche with a crispy hash brown crust filled with eggs, cream, cheese, and prosciutto, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups hash browns
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup prosciutto, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions or herbs for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine hash browns with melted butter in a mixing bowl and press into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish to form a crust.
  3. Bake the hash brown crust in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese and chopped prosciutto.
  6. Pour the egg mixture into the baked hash brown crust.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the quiche is set and slightly golden on top.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve. Garnish with green onions or herbs if desired.

Notes

Use frozen hash browns for convenience. Customize with vegetables for added nutrition.
