A delicious and creamy lasagna layered with ham and cheese, topped with a rich Mornay sauce.

- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the sauce thickens. Add nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- In a baking dish, layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta cheese, half of the ham, and a third of the Mornay sauce.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and remaining Mornay sauce on top.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the ham.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
