A delicious and hearty casserole that combines the flavors of lasagna with the convenience of a one-dish meal.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups cooked lasagna noodles, cut into pieces
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the meat mixture, half of the noodle pieces, and half of the ricotta mixture.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining meat mixture on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
