Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the blanched green beans and half of the French fried onions.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining French fried onions.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.

Notes

  • For a healthier version, use low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
  • Feel free to add cooked bacon or cheese for extra flavor.
