Description

A comforting dish of tender layered potatoes baked in rich cream and cheese, perfect for sharing with loved ones.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. Mix heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
  7. Sprinkle paprika on top, if desired.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze individual portions for up to 2 months.
