Description

A nutritious and energizing snack made with ginger and turmeric.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond butter, and honey or maple syrup.
  2. Add the ground ginger, ground turmeric, chia seeds, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts if using.
  3. Mix all the ingredients until well combined.
  4. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Place the energy balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  7. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
