Description

A deliciously soft and flavorful focaccia bread topped with garlic and parmesan.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh rosemary, for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic and parmesan cheese.
  8. Let it rest for another 20 minutes.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Garnish with fresh rosemary before serving.
