Description

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these Garlic Butter Hasselback Potatoes are an impressive yet easy-to-make side dish that bursts with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Clean the potatoes and slice them crosswise at 1/8-inch intervals, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Brush the garlic butter mixture over the potatoes, making sure to get it into the cuts.
  5. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 45-55 minutes or until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, brushing with more garlic butter halfway through if desired.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Use a wooden spoon to guide your knife for easier slicing, and consider adding herbs or cheese for extra flavor.
