Description

Indulge in the comforting yet adventurous Fried Burrata with Spicy Sauce, featuring crispy burrata cheese paired with a tangy spicy marinara.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 balls of burrata cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  2. Take each burrata ball, dredge it in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and then coat it with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Carefully add the breaded burrata to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. In a separate pot, heat the marinara sauce and add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir well and simmer.
  6. Once the burrata is fried, remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve the fried burrata with the spicy marinara sauce drizzled over the top and garnish with fresh basil. Enjoy!

Notes

Use cold burrata to prevent melting entirely during frying. Do not overcrowd the pan for optimal crispiness.
