Description

French Salted Butter Cookies are an irresistible treat that will transport your taste buds straight to Paris!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the flour and sea salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
