- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup French onion soup
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- If using, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers to the mixture.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
