Description

A delightful dessert that combines yellow cake mix, tropical pineapple, and creamy cream cheese, perfect for Easter and spring gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup whipped cream


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  3. Mix the yellow cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake according to package instructions or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool completely.
  7. Beat the cream cheese until smooth in another bowl.
  8. Gradually add the powdered sugar until well mixed.
  9. Slice the cake in half horizontally once it is cool.
  10. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bottom half of the cake, then layer with crushed pineapple.
  11. Place the top half of the cake back on and top with whipped cream.
  12. Serve chilled.
