- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into two greased 9-inch round cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool completely in the pans before removing.
- Once cooled, slice each cake in half horizontally to create four layers.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Spread marshmallow fluff on the top of the first layer, then add a layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat the process for the next two layers, stacking them on top of each other.
- Top with the final layer of cake and frost the entire cake with chocolate frosting.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a layer of chocolate ganache between the cake layers.
- This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
- Feel free to decorate the top with chocolate shavings or sprinkles for added fun!
