Description

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into two greased 9-inch round cake pans.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cakes cool completely in the pans before removing.
  6. Once cooled, slice each cake in half horizontally to create four layers.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  8. Spread marshmallow fluff on the top of the first layer, then add a layer of whipped cream.
  9. Repeat the process for the next two layers, stacking them on top of each other.
  10. Top with the final layer of cake and frost the entire cake with chocolate frosting.
  11. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a layer of chocolate ganache between the cake layers.
