Description

A refreshing homemade soda made from dandelion flowers, perfect for a warm day.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups dandelion flowers
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 4 cups water


Instructions

  1. Gather dandelion flowers and rinse them thoroughly.
  2. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add the dandelion flowers to the boiling water and let steep for 24 hours.
  4. Strain the mixture to remove the flowers.
  5. Add sugar and lemon juice to the strained liquid, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  6. Sprinkle the yeast into the mixture and stir gently.
  7. Cover the mixture and let it sit at room temperature for 2-3 days to ferment.
  8. Once fermented, bottle the soda, leaving some space at the top of each bottle.
  9. Refrigerate the bottles to stop fermentation and enjoy chilled.
