Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Polish sausage, sliced
  • 1 can (14 oz) sauerkraut, drained
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Layer the sliced Polish sausage at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add the drained sauerkraut on top of the sausage.
  3. Place the diced potatoes over the sauerkraut.
  4. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  5. Sprinkle caraway seeds, salt, and pepper over the top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the potatoes are tender.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with crusty bread for a complete meal.
