Description

A delicious and visually stunning potato torte infused with balsamic vinegar and fresh thyme.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer the potato mixture in a greased round baking dish, overlapping the slices.
  4. If using, sprinkle Parmesan cheese between the layers.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy and golden.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
