Description

A heartwarming soup that combines creamy potatoes and savory hamburger for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground hamburger
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and ground hamburger, cooking until the meat is browned.
  3. Stir in the diced potatoes and beef broth, bringing to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Stir in the milk and heavy cream, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then serve hot.

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, mash some of the potatoes before adding the cream.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like carrots or celery for extra flavor.
