Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced chicken breasts and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low, then stir in the heavy cream and pesto sauce, mixing well.
  5. Add cooked pasta and toss until everything is well coated.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve garnished with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

Use fresh basil for garnish to enhance flavor. Don’t forget to reserve pasta water for the sauce if it thickens too much.
