Description

This creamy and crispy hamburger casserole combines ground beef, egg noodles, green beans, and cream of mushroom soup, all enveloped in a melty layer of cheddar cheese and topped with crispy breadcrumbs, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can green beans, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Mix together the cooked beef, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, cooked egg noodles, and half of the cheddar cheese in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese and breadcrumbs on top (if using).
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added texture, consider using crushed chips instead of breadcrumbs.
