Description

A delicious and spicy cheese ball that combines the flavors of cowboy caviar and jalapeño poppers, perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños
  • 1/2 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup corn, drained
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips (for coating)


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well blended.
  2. Add the diced jalapeños, black beans, corn, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  4. Once chilled, roll the cheese ball in crushed tortilla chips until fully coated.
  5. Serve with additional tortilla chips or vegetable sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, use more jalapeños or add diced serrano peppers.
