- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce or beef broth
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp chopped chives
- 8 oz linguine
- ¼ cup reserved pasta water
- Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan or dairy-free substitute
Instructions
- Cook linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup water and drain.
- Season chicken with spices. Sear in olive oil until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
- In same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté.
- Stir in mustard, lemon, paprika, red pepper, Worcestershire, and herbs. Simmer briefly.
- Return chicken to skillet. Add linguine and toss to coat. Add pasta water if needed.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley or cheese if desired.
Notes
Add grilled vegetables or swap linguine for gluten-free pasta if needed. Adjust spice to your taste, and serve with crusty bread or salad for a full meal.
