Description

A bold, creamy pasta recipe featuring cowboy butter, tender chicken, and linguine. Ready in 40 minutes, it’s a spicy twist on comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce or beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
  • 8 oz linguine
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water
  • Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan or dairy-free substitute

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup water and drain.
  2. Season chicken with spices. Sear in olive oil until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté.
  4. Stir in mustard, lemon, paprika, red pepper, Worcestershire, and herbs. Simmer briefly.
  5. Return chicken to skillet. Add linguine and toss to coat. Add pasta water if needed.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley or cheese if desired.

Notes

Add grilled vegetables or swap linguine for gluten-free pasta if needed. Adjust spice to your taste, and serve with crusty bread or salad for a full meal.
