Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 3 cloves garlic
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, and garlic.
- Pulse until the ingredients are finely chopped.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and pulse again.
- While the processor is running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth.
- Season with salt to taste.
Notes
- Store pesto in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- For a different flavor, try adding sun-dried tomatoes or walnuts.
