Description

A delicious and moist cinnamon swirl banana bread that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with a rich cinnamon swirl for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  6. Stir in the flour until just combined.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon and brown sugar together.
  8. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
  10. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  11. Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the batter.
  12. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  13. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Make sure to use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • This bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • For added flavor, consider adding chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
