Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until combined.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the butter mixture over the Saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  9. Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes, then spread it evenly over the toffee.
  10. Sprinkle with cinnamon and powdered sugar, then let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
