Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • Green buttercream frosting
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Red and yellow candy stars
  • Edible glitter (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Once cooled, use a piping bag to frost the cupcakes with green buttercream frosting, creating a tree shape.
  7. Decorate the cupcakes with mini chocolate chips as ornaments and top with candy stars.
  8. If desired, sprinkle edible glitter on top for a festive touch.
