Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped strawberries.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cupcakes cool, prepare the buttercream by beating the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and heavy cream, mixing until smooth.
- Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost them with the buttercream.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler and drizzle over the frosted cupcakes.
- Garnish with additional strawberries if desired.
