Description

A classic and hearty dish that combines ground meat, beans, and spices for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  4. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add diced tomatoes and kidney beans, mix well.
  6. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with your choice of toppings.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or cayenne pepper.
  • Can be served with rice or cornbread.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
