Description

A delicious and hearty casserole made with tater tots, chili, and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag of frozen tater tots
  • 2 cans of chili (with or without beans)
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chili, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread half of the tater tots in the bottom of a greased casserole dish.
  4. Pour the chili mixture over the tater tots.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chili mixture.
  6. Layer the remaining tater tots on top of the cheese.
  7. Top with the remaining cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add toppings like jalapeños or green onions for extra flavor.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • For a spicier version, use spicy chili or add hot sauce.
